It is our sincere wish that this website honouring the memory of Anne Poole will help to raise funds and awareness for a variety of worthwhile charities for both people and animals in need, as well as giving pleasure to all those who purchase Anne’s wonderful photographs.
I often wonder as I walk round with my wife why and what she saw through the view finder of the Camera. Anne had the eye to see what I couldn’t, so the Images are not for the best picture the most technically good and also not for the composition although that does make the shot.
I think for her it was at first the escape from the bustle and madness of modern living, And for the peace and quite of the countryside and so the image are about cloud formations, the play of light on the landscape. Other times is would be the shapes of trees or the texture of leave on the ground and the colours of the changing season, the crounch under foot. Frost on leaves that have gone the colour of Autumns yellows, red and browns.
Even at dusk with the light falling she could find a picture like the Silhouette of a building against the failing light. In the summer the smell Of new mown hay and the shimmering haze of fields of golden wheat or the blue of a field of flax. The pleasure of laying down for a sleep under a tree in the gentle warmth, Im sure you can picture it for yourself. We hope you enjoy the photographs. |
