Poem 1: Message of the March Wind
Now sweet, sweet it is on the land to be straying,
With the birds and the blossom and the beasts of the field,
Love mingles with love, and no evil is weighing on thy heart of mind where all sorrow is healed.

Forecast said Sunny intervals during afternoon and as cloud broke about 1030am and sun came out. Decided to go somewhere more local for the afternoon. Even with blustery west wind if felt pleasant to start, but wind moved round to Southeast during the afternoon and became increasingly colder. Cloud although more broken than first thing this morning. Didnt reveal Sun all that much broken cloud away from the Sun) and the cold wind and mostly dull sky made it quite unpleasant to be out in - not so bad out of the wind. Post Office at Lynsted now closed. First time we have been out since December 11th. - Mostly wet and cloudy while Ken has been off except for Boxing day - and then no transport. Fields and ground everywhere completely waterlogged with so much rain recently
-couldnt possibly have negotiated any fields today. The route deliberatly avoided them. It looks as if they will take a while to dry out and meanwhile more showery and wet weather is on the way.
